Hey, thanks, Dennis. Very validating (heh, heh). We'll see when the urge strikes me again. Keep the faith.

Dennis, I tried to send you a private message, but being the computer idiot that I am, it wound up on my profile page instead. It's now out there for the world to see-so, you should see it too.

Dennis, don't be shocked too much mate. I was a big boy at school, was 6ft 1in at 14 and heavy. Validation wasn't an issue for me, I was out and very comfortable with my sexuality. I earned acceptance from my peers very early in the piece; if someone called me a faggot or a poof etc I simply punched the bejesus out of him. All the homophobes learned quick smart that the gay guys on campus had all the validation they needed, me! Got kicked out of two schools tho and that really crapped my Dad off big time. Uly will be shaking this head big time when he reads this - gotta love him tho!

I keep getting the itch to write something...gary and I attended a millennial wedding of two young guys a few weeks back - and our presence there was very specific and cast a bright light on the interesting position in which Gary and I find ourselves in the world now... might be of interest here... and the word "validation" keeps running through my mind as a defining difference between my generation and the millennial generation of gay men... just thoughts.

Yeah, that did not work for me, I tried exactly the same thing that you did and it ate my comment. And that is something that they *have* to fix. I am using Firefox, the latest version. Hue-Man primarily uses Firefox (also the latest version), but also tried it on Internet Explorer 8. Firefox has a huge user base, by far the largest of any particular version of browser. So, they simply have to fix this. That's all there is to it. You can't ignore the two of the biggest browsers out there. They likely aren't aware of this problem, we need to let them know.

Hey Dennis! Here's a really great article about transphobia I think you'll find informative, & well-written ---http://www.salon.com/2013/07/06/does_gender_matter_when_it_com
es_to_sexual_consent/?source=newsletter . I haven't had time to leave a comment, but I did read your post --- I am very interested in the subject. Just a heads up Dennis --- when I posted this note, I saw that the link was only partially highlighted in blue, & broken up so that part of it was on the next line, so be sure to grab the whole thing if you intend to use the link ... ! The Contact Us worked after I cleared Cookies but have since tried to post a comment unsuccessfully. Any other ideas? Mysterious.

Oh I forgot to answer a question you had asked me by E-Mail. Yes, I did delete a comment I had made because I was not happy with it. No systemic fault there, it was late, I was tired and not making any sense. Later!

Well, we exchange enough E-Mail and PMs, thought you needed a little more in the way of feedback-type comments. I see you guilted yourself into putting up a picture :) I don't take a good picture (I have the broken cameras to prove it), so my avatar will stay. It looks like an attractive version of me anyway. Gonna be a busy week for me, so not sure how much content I'll be sending your way. But will try to get something your way toward the end of the week. Had a rough week last week, even worked Saturday late. Found myself sleeping late and even napping today, so I was up late Sunday night/Monday morning. So I am commenting on people's profiles in an effort to catch up on my socializing. Have been neglecting that lately, not good for a social director. Anyway, will chat with you later.

Hey Dennis! Thanks for doing this --- I've missed the community-aspect of AE :-) Now you just need to get yourself an avatar pic ;-)

Hey, Dennis. :) I look forward to seeing how things go. I was just going to lurk and read until Andy said that members could leave feedback and send private messages. If you have more Glee articles, I'll comment on those. I'm very interested in the history articles.

Hey Dennis,

I love researching and writing about LGBT history but unfortunately there isn't a lot of call for it at the Backlot. If you're interested I would love to write up some pieces for the site. Let me know what you think.
