I saw your comment on the Shepard Smith article. We really should do a history article about Alan Turing.

Hey Hue-Man. I verified that the problem of comments disappearing has to do with clickable links. I'm discussing it with Dennis to see what can be done about it.

And yes, we can make rules, but they do also affect readership. But this is one that kind of took me by surprise as Cathy was able to post a clickable link on Dennis' page with no problem, whereas I wasn't. I suspect something like a spam filter got turned on by mistake, or the web hosts added a "feature" that we didn't ask for.

Anyway, thanks for the info and will keep you informed.

Hey, Hue-Man. Found your comment below to be both interesting and informative, I'm sorry that it did not appear on the site the way it was supposed to. I am wondering if you have tried to comment since then?

I'd also suggest that you clear your browser's cache in addition to the cookies that you've already cleared, There were a couple of days that I had some odd things happen to me on the site, and it is possible that those malfunctions contaminated the browser cache.

I'm not sure if Dennis has contacted the site support people, but I'd be interested in knowing what other problems you may have had lately. We want to give them any information that might prove helpful. If you could, let me know what browser you are using, along with the version number (usually found when going to the Help/About function) and what operating system you're using (Windows XP, 7, Mac or Linux Distribution). This may help them nail any problems down.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you and hope we can resolve this quickly. Either leave me a comment on my profile page or send me a PM. If that doesn't work, send me an E-Mail message (the_fixer_andy at

Here's the comment I've been trying to post. I've taken out the weblinks in case they're preventing me from posting here. Just cleared cookies.
I've refrained from commenting because his death was too close to home; I had the local radio on when the Vancouver PD held their first news conference and Victoria CTV have been running old interviews from his frequent visits to his home town and interviews with his fellow workers at the Victoria cab company where he drove. His Cinderella story is what keeps keeps young actors going to auditions, waiting tables, and living out of their cars; his 20-hour drag race to an audition that he was not qualified for - no singing and dancing skills and limited TV experience, mostly Vancouver-filmed series like Kyle XY, Supernatural, Stargates, Smallville.

I have never criticized the original cast members (although I wasn't a Finnchel fan) - they took the risk on a TV show that could easily have been the next Viva Laughlin. Finn's less than stellar voice and clumsy dancing were more representative of the quality of students - especially high school quarterbacks - joining glee clubs in any small town. I don't need to tell you that Glee has become a worldwide phenomenon, in no small part due to Cory Monteith.

In my first attempt to post this comment (which disappeared when I hit the post comment button), I pointed out that his hotel was only blocks away from Insite, Canada's only supervised drug-injection site, which has nurses on staff to watch for overdoses, to provide links to health and social services, and to exchange and dispose of dirty needles. By getting IV drug users out of the alleys, InSite saves lives by reducing the transmission of HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C. supervisedinjection vch ca

Then this: "A Calgary columnist is defending her column, which has drawn harsh criticism on social media, in which she blamed Glee actor Cory Monteith‚??s death on Insite, Vancouver‚??s supervised injection site." I won't link to her site but here's the Vancouver Province newspaper response. www theprovince com/news/vancouver/Calgary+columnist+defends+column+which+links+I

I hope the Finn tribute show includes a reminder that addicts often include parents, siblings, children, spouses, heroes.

Would it be possible to set up an e-mail address in Contact Us, say, as there's no other way to contact you?

I received your "Contact Us" message. I hope clearing the cookies works for you. I forwarded your message to Andy, who knows more about the technical side of things than I do. They don't call him "The Fixer" for nothing!

Thank you for the blog link (very interesting - I've always liked Brent) --- & in return, here's a link for you, on the same subject ;-)
tal_protest/?source=newsletter That was a very clever way for you to respond. However, you didn't answer my question re: your AE username :-) Later!

Hello other Canadian! Are you a refugee from AfterElton? Would I have known you there? In other words, if yes, what was your old username? Sorry --- I'm being too nosey :-/ Ignore me if you want! Or ... later!
